Volunteering At Lone Star
As so many of our animals are long-term residents, the most important factor for their well-being is contentment. Daily play, petting, grooming, socialization, and specialized diet are the basis for which they stay healthy and happy. Not only do we need volunteers at the sanctuary, but we sometimes have functions to showcase the animals for fundraisers and adoption events. During these events we need volunteers to walk the dogs, talk to people who express interest in helping at the sanctuary, or donating money and supplies to support what we are doing.

We host Volunteer Orientations on the first Saturday of every month, so If you think you might be interested in helping us accomplish our mission of "Saving and Changing Lives," then we'd love to see you out here!

Drop-offs and pick-ups are not permitted. Volunteers must also sign a liability waiver before being allowed to volunteer. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver.

Please remember, volunteering and Community Service are NOT the same. If you need community service hours, please visit our Community Service page.
