Volunteer at LoneStar

If you think you might be interested in helping us accomplish our mission of "Saving and Changing Lives," then we'd love to see you out here!
Please feel free to call our office at (432) 683-7387 or email us at lonestarsanctuaryvolunteer@gmail.com to set up a time to do our orientation.
Please note: all volunteers must have their own transportation, and volunteers under the age of 16 will require a parent or guardian to accompany them at all times. Drop-offs and pick-ups are not permitted. Volunteers must also sign a liability waiver before being allowed to volunteer. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign the liability waiver.
Community Service

We allow community service 7 days a week from 8-5 pm. We do take lunch from 11:30-12:30 daily, so you must leave the property at that time. You can get 8 hours of community service a day if you start promptly at 8 am, and if we have work for you (we make no assurances about the number of hours you can earn in any given day). Be sure to bring all required paperwork with you, and wear work-appropriate clothing that you do not mind getting dirty.
Every Community Service worker is required to read and sign a liability waiver. A C.S. worker can not work without a properly signed waiver.
If you have not done community service at Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals before, then you will be required to show up on your first day at 8:00 sharp. You will not be admitted late.
School Hours

At Lonestar Sanctuary, we offer legacy school hours for students looking to gain meaningful volunteer experience, but anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a consent form before hours can be credited. To get started, all new youth volunteers are required to attend a monthly orientation led by our volunteer coordinator. During this session, participants will learn about sanctuary guidelines, begin building familiarity with our mission, and receive a guided tour of the grounds. The orientation also helps determine which animals are appropriate for interaction, ensuring both volunteer safety and animal well-being from the very beginning. Please email or give us a call to be added to our orientation group so you can get started.
