Adoptable Pets
By adopting an animal from Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals, you truly do help our sanctuary in our mission of Saving and Changing lives.
All of the animals we adopt out are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and registered with the microchip. In addition, we also flea and tick treat once monthly, as well as dewormed as necessary.
Your adoption donation helps offset the costs of this care, and taking one of our animals into your home helps us open up space in our sanctuary for another in-need animal from the Midland area.

Rigatoni is a sweet, happy, snuggly and energetic hound mix who enjoys walks, treats and his other dog friends at Lone Star.
Rigatoni is good in a fenced yard and on a leash.
Edison
Edison is medium sized Shepherd mix who is a bit shy but has really come a long way in his time at Lone Star. He just needs a little time to warm up to a new person. He enjoys walks and is easy to handle on a leash.
Marshall
Marshall is a 7yr old big guy who loves people, his pool and to run & play. He has been at Lonestar for 3+ years . He loves walks and is a good boy on the leash, just likes to sniff and enjoy the time out. He is selective of his dog friends and doesn’t like cats, because he is a big boy he is suited for a home with no kids under 10.

Cambrie
Cambrie once adopted, returned to Lone Star after Animal Control identified her from her microchip. She was in rough shape, perhaps attacked by other dogs. The Lone Star staff took her immediately to the vet where she went through surgeries and spent time to heal and then rehabilitated her back at the Sanctuary. She is a good girl with lots of energy but walks very well when on her leashed walks. Cambrie would like to be your only pet & and have all the love and attention to herself, she needs to be in a family with no young children, and a yard with a fence to play
Huxley
Huxley needs a home with a kind and patient owner/family. Hux would benefit with a leader/friend dog. 1 dog would be best so they can bond. A home with as much routine as possible is best. No small children as he scares easily, he’d need a quiet home. I’m sure he would be fine in an apartment.
He seems most confident when outside exploring the yard with or without little dogs some outside noises scare him. Hux enjoys chewing tags off of his toys and blankets. He is a cautiously curious when he starts to get comfortable in his surroundings
As he becomes comfortable his playful side comes out.
EJ
EJ is a small terrier mix with a lot of energy!! He would love to play with balls and toys with you! He walks well on a leash & harness. EJ wants to be an only pet and would need a home with adults or older children.

Davina is a pretty Chihuahua girl who has been at Lone Star over a year, she is deaf and blind (although she may have some limited sight) because of this Davina would be best in a home with a understanding owner who has possibly dealt with special needs pets before with no young children. She would do best with a routine to help her learn. Davina can be loud when she doesn’t know what is happening or where her people are.

Marie is a very sweet medium sized Pointer mix . She has been with Lone Star for 7 years. Marie really enjoys going for walks and is very easy to handle on a leash. She gets along with some other dogs. Marie is gentle and would be a great addition to any family.

Titan is a medium sized boy who is good with other dogs & children. He walks well on a leash and loves to play with the other dogs in his morning playgroup. He needs a fenced yard so he can continue to be the fun loving guy he is

Sampson
Sampson is a gorgeous boy! He has grown up his entire life since a very young pup at Lone Star. It has been his home. For this reason Sampson would do best with an experienced and patient owner/family who would give him lots of time and understanding as he learns to transition into being a true family member. He would probably thrive with another confident dog to teach him home life with a family is a good life. Sampson is nervous to go on the leash but improves and enjoys it while on walks. Sampson has not been around children so would need safe introduction to calm older children, but should probably be in a home with no kids younger than 10.

Geronimo
Geronimo is a super sweet boy, who can easily be won over with a treat or two!! He does well with other dogs and has a playful disposition. He would like a fenced yard to have fun & play in. Geronimo would be best in a home with children over the age of 10.
Yoshi
Yoshi is a big lovable boy at Lone Star who wants to be your only baby!! No other dogs or children. He is a big sweet ball of fur who needs his coat to be brushed out regularly & who will need a big fully fenced yard to explore and play. He loves walks and is good on a leash with no pulling.
Castiel
Castiel is a beautiful Big boy, with energy to burn! He will definitely need space to run and play, he especially loves his pool in the Texas summer heat!! He gets along with some dogs. Because Castiel is such a big guy he is suited to an experienced dog owner who can handle his strength and energy, again for this reason Castiel is suited for a family or owner with no small/young children under 10

Randall is a LOVER!! Sweet as can be!! Loves the pets & belly rubs! He is good on the leash but honestly he is just all about the love and will lay down mid walk for cuddles and pets! He gets along with other female dogs. He is a delight and would be a great addition to any person/family
