Community Service and Volunteering

Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals offers a variety of volunteer and community service opportunities for court, education, and community activity. Click below find out more. Please note that standard volunteering, school Community Service, and court Community Service are not interchangeable. Also, you will need your own transportation (drop-offs and pick-ups are not allowed). 
All Volunteers must complete a new volunteer orientation before volunteering with us. Volunteer orientations take place on the first Saturday of every month (weather permitting). During warmer months, orientation begins at 9:30am, and during colder months, it begins at 1:30pm. 
It’s a requirement for all visitors under 16 years of age to have a parent or legal guardian while on the property and sign a liability waiver before entry, volunteering, or acceptance of community service.

Donations

Our shelter does not receive any federal, state or county funding; and no funding from the Humane Society of the United States, or ASPCA. Our shelter does not receive any federal, state or county funding; and no funding from the Humane Society of the United States, or ASPCA. We rely solely on donations, grants, bequests and fundraising events to further our mission of Saving and Changing Lives.

Non-cash donations

Here at Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals, we go through many required supplies each day to enable our pets’ a clean environment. Sourcing and acquiring many of these essential needs require funding, as we welcome your help.
